Today is Soonyoung's birthday, and he is feeling rather lonely. He doesn't have any close friends, and his family is all out of town. He decides to go out for a walk to try to cheer himself up. As he is walking, he sees Seokmin, his neighbor. Seokmin is a friendly and outgoing person, and Soonyoung has always felt comfortable around him.

Seokmin melihat Soonyoung dan melambaikan tangannya, “Soonyoung!” he calls out, “Mau kemana?”

“Not much,” Soonyoung membalas sapaan, “Mau muterin komplek aja kayaknya”

”Yaelah birthday boy masa sendirian aja sih, keluar yuk kita cari makan.” ucap Seokmin

Soonyoung is hesitant at first, but he eventually agrees. Seokmin takes him to a nice restaurant, and they have a great time. Seokmin orders a lot of food, and he makes sure that Soonyoung gets to try everything. Menurut Soonyoung, ini sedikit aneh. Dia dan Seokmin bisa dibilang tidak terlalu dekat, mereka hanya mengobrol sesekali kalau tidak sengaja bertemu di tempat sate padang langganan mereka berdua atau di toko kelontong depan perumahan mereka tinggal.

After dinner, Seokmin takes Soonyoung to a few different stores. He knows that Soonyoung is a big fan of free stuff, tentunya Seokmin tau dari Soonyoung sendiri beberapa waktu lalu ketika mereka tidak sengaja bertemu di cafe dekat kampus mereka, “Gue kesini tuh sebenernya ngincer promo buy 1 coffee get 1 cake, tau Seok!” jadi di hari ulang tahun Soonyoung, Seokmin makes sure to take him to all of the stores that offer birthday benefits. Soonyoung is having a great time and he is starting to feel less lonely. Semua berkat tetangga depan rumahnya, Seokmin.

By the end of the night, Soonyoung mulai merasa cukup lelah karena tanpa mereka sadari mereka sudah menghabiskan waktu hampir seharian bersama— ini adalah kali pertama untuk mereka berdua. Soonyoung thanks Seokmin for a great time, “Aaah gila, happy banget gue hari ini Seok! Kenyang makan tapi gak keluar uang sama sekali, kok lo tauan sih tempat mana aja yang offer birthday benefits gini?”

Seokmin smiles, “Karena gue juga ngincer sih waktu ultah kemaren”

“Oh pantes.” Soonyoung replies, “Balik nih ke rumah?”

“Udah cukup nih segini aja?”

“Cukup banget lah gila.”

“Yaudah ayo balik.”

As Soonyoung walks home, he can't help but smile. He has never had a birthday this much fun before. Dan anehnya, Soonyoung yang dari dulu tidak pernah menyukai hari ulang tahunnya maka kali ini ia merasa bahwa ia mulai sedikit menyukai hari ulang tahunnya.

Diam-diam, lelaki yang berjalan disamping Soonyoung sekarang, tersenyum manis melihat Soonyoung yang tersenyum memandang langit diatas. Seokmin has always liked Soonyoung, but he has never been able to tell him how he feels. He is glad that he was able to make Soonyoung happy on his birthday and he hopes that he can spend more time with him in the future. “Bahagia ya, Soon.”

Soonyoung tersenyum, “Gak pernah sebahagia ini sebelumnya, thanks ya! Sering-sering deh kita keluar bareng.”

Seokmin mengeluarkan kotak berukuran sedang dari tas yang dibawanya, “Oh iya nih kado buat lo.”

Soonyoung mengerutkan keningnya, “Serius?”

“Serius lah, gue gatau sih lo sukanya apa. Jadi gue harap lo suka yang gue kasih ya.”

Soonyoung tersenyum lebar dan kedua matanya menyipit, “Makin happy deh gue. Makasih loh, Seok?”

“Dah gih masuk rumah.”

“Besok sarapan bareng yuk?” Ajak Soonyoung

“Iya, nanti imess aja.”

Seokmin is happy to see Soonyoung happy, and he is also happy to spend time with him. He knows that he likes Soonyoung in a romantic way, but he is not sure if Soonyoung feels the same way. He decides to keep his feelings to himself for now, and just enjoy their friendship.
